Ways to weaken my filter’s current?
I bought a Tetra Whisper 3i in-tank filter for my betta’s 2.5 gallon tank – it was the very smallest I could find, but the current still seems too strong for him. I can’t put him in a bigger tank as he is an office fish and my desk space is limited. Does anyone know of a tinier, gentler filter I could try, or knows how to rig up the current filter to soften the flow? I was thinking maybe if I put a little net over the part where the water comes out it’d break it up a bit, or maybe glue a marble to it so the water has to split and go around. Any ideas?
you can get these things that you hook to tubes,and you twist this little knob and it controls the amount of air that passes through,you could get one of those,cut the hose in half,and put it in the hose.I dont think you can get them at walmart,you would have to check an actual aquarium store…(thats only if its a bubbler controlled filter though)
