Why do 9/11 simulations discount the heavily loaded office interiors as obstacles in the planes(?) path?Peace!
The real damage was not done by the impact. The buildings were designed to withstand being hit by an aircraft – absolutely true – it was in the design specs!
It was the full load of burning fuel that did the damage. The ensuing fire heated the main structural girders to the point where they weakened. The weight of the floors above did the rest. Then the weight of falling debris travelled down through the building.
Therefore whether officers were empty or full did not matter!
